ABA Behavioral Technician - Senior Level

Behavioral Therapist
Responsible for providing intensive behavioral intervention services to clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other language delays utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Services are provided to help individuals and families achieve goals outlined on the treatment plan and is in accordance with all applicable federal and state regulations, policies and procedures.
Status
Non-Exempt. Part-time (12-20 hours per week)

Senior level:
You will be supervised by a BCBA

Compensation:
Hourly
Drive time reimbursed at $.057 per mile (between clients)
Paid orientation and training (40 hours RBT training, shadowing, supervision, and meetings)

Qualifications:
Holds at least a bachelors degree in a related field (education, psychology, social work)
BCaBA candidate preferred
More than 1 years experience in the field
Upon getting hired will complete background check, fingerprints, CPR, First Aid, and TB test

Job Description:
Implements Individualized Treatment Plan under the direction of the behavior analysts (BCBA) with client directly (working 8-10 hours/week per client, all direct, mostly in the home)
Collects data and applies behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients
Provides feedback regarding client progress to program supervisor and senior therapist
Attends monthly team meetings
Maintain respect and confidentiality for all clients and protect the well being of all clients
Communicates effectively in a professional, respectful, and timely manner with parents, behavior analysts, therapist ?trainers, other therapists and clients
Other duties as assigned by supervisory staff
Teaches the clients to acquire language, academic, self-help, and social skills as stated in the treatment plan
Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills. This may include toilet training, ?eating, and other self-help skills.
Supports all members of the staff and assists with ideas, suggestions and work duties
Actively participates in staff training programs designed to increase overall skills
Assists in creating instructional materials
Observes, records, and reports the condition and behavior of the clients in daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent and timely manner
Functions as an active member of the treatment team
Works with clients, consultants, staff, families, and community to implement client's treatment plans
Consistently implements behavior plans to reduce client's socially inappropriate behavior and promote appropriate social behaviors
Effectively responds to and manages crisis situations which may include client physical aggression
Follows East Bay ABA policies and procedures
Openly flexible and responsible in working with multiple children at one time, when necessary
Becomes fluent in the understanding of the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program ?(VB-MAPP)
Works collaboratively with the Program Supervisor to provide support to the junior therapist and overlap during sessions
Physical Requirements:
ADA Requirements (essential functions, full-time)
Sitting 5 - 8 hours/day
Standing 0.5 - 1 hour/day
Walking 1- 2 hours/day
Use of telephone 2 - 3 hours/day
Bend, twist, kneel, stoop, run, reach in all directions, and crawl. 0.5 - 1 hour/day
Working under pressure 3 - 4 hours/day
Driving from client to client 2 - 3 hours/day
Working rapidly for long periods 4 - 5 hours/day
Use of keyboard/computer, printer, fax, copier. 4 - 5 hours/day
Position requires close work; finger dexterity; good vision, hearing, oral communication and critical thinking on a regular basis.
Position may also require occasional lifting and carrying of 30 pounds or more.
May occasionally work longer than 8 hours/day.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
